Heuchera ‘Berry Smoothie’ PP21871Common Name: Coral Bells Zone 4 to 9, Full sun to full shade, depending on zone. Plants reach 18 inches tall and 20 inches wide. Herbaceous perennial, evergreen in areas with mild winters

The foliage ranges a bit in color with the season, emerging bright rose pink in spring and darkening to purplish rose in summer. The parentage includes the heat and humidity tolerant H. villosa as well as H. americana which is native to the eastern half of the US. Its villosa parentage ensures the plant will be a robust grower, quickly forming a large, boldly colored mound in the landscape.

This coral bells cultivar is a clump-forming perennial. Rounded, lobed, long-petioled leaves (2 to 4 inches wide) form a basal mound. Tiny, soft pink, bell-shaped flowers appear in late spring to early summer on slender, wiry stems rising well above the foliage mound.
