The FodderKing is a hydroponic fodder growing rack that produces nutritious food for animals in 7-8 day cycles. The hydroponically grown fodder, when eaten at 7-9 days of growth, is nutrient rich and contains high amounts of protein, minerals, and vitamins. The FodderKing is made from galvanized steel and includes all necessary plumbing, pumps, timers, and operating instructions. Daily maintenance can require as little as 20 minutes.The system is designed like an NFT system, with the exception that irrigation events are operated by a timer as opposed to a continuous flow of solution. This reduces the probability of disease and/or pest establishment in the system.All of the FodderKing units utilize CropKing’s widest channel, which is capable of holding standard 10 20 trays. All of these units can be used for germinating seeds and growing microgreens on burlap or BioStrate.A reservoir is not included, which provides you with the freedom to choose a tank size to suit your unique situation. Smaller reservoirs could lead to larger and more frequent pH fluctuations due to quicker depletion of the solution while larger reservoirs may result in smaller and less frequent pH fluctuations.4-8An ideal system for the hobby livestock farmer, this recirculating system is capable of producing up to 12 lbs. of hydroponic barley fodder per channel.
