Newest flowers are rose and mature to fuchsia with rose tips. Discovered by John Stireman and introduced through High Country Gardens. From Plant Select®.
Like all Delospermas, this one is also highly heat and drought tolerant, making it a good choice for waterwise landscapes. It thrives in rock gardens, on slopes, in containers, and in the landscape.

This ice plant cannot tolerate foot traffic , so choose a location where it will not be stepped on.
To ensure your Delosperma GRANITA Raspberry flourishes, follow these care tips:
Planting
- Plant in a sunny spot with fast-draining soil. Sandy, sandy loam, or gravelly soils are best .
Watering
- Water regularly (weekly) during the heat of the summer .
- Keep dry over the winter months .
Mulching
- Mulch with a layer of small gravel to protect the spreading stems from excessive winter moisture .
Fertilizing
- Fertilize in spring with SeaCom-PGR and Yum Yum Mix® to encourage plentiful flowers and good stem growth .
Winter Care
- In colder climates, protect from excessive winter moisture by providing a layer of mulch or covering plants with a cloche .
- Prune out any winter-damaged stems in mid-spring .
Propagation
- Cuttings root easily .
- Succulent leaves pushed into the soil will often root to form new plants .
Container Gardening Delosperma GRANITA Raspberry can be grown in containers . When planting in containers, use an all-purpose potting mix specifically formulated for cactus and succulents, or add perlite to the potting mix for additional drainage . Water more frequently than in-ground plants, especially during hot, dry weather .
Consider using Delosperma GRANITA Raspberry as a “spiller” element in container gardening, combining it with other drought-tolerant plants for a “thriller, filler, spiller” effect . For example, pair it with an upright succulent like a Yucca or Agave for the “thriller” and a mounding plant like Sedum for the “filler.”
