Lotus corniculatus ‘Plenus’ Common Name: Golden Bird’s-foot Zones: 2 to 9; Full sun. Mature height 3 to 4 inches with a potential spread of 1 to 2 feet.Semi-evergreen, forms a dense low spreading groundcover. Bright green leaves are covered with small golden-yellow pea flowers in early summer. Double-flowered form of Bird’s-foot Trefoil.
Use as groundcover for rock gardens or for slopes, as a lawn substitute; in containers. Plants will tolerate occasional daily foot traffic and regular mowing. Easily divided in spring or fall.
