Liriope spicata a/k/a Creeping lilyturf Zones 4 to 10; Full sun, filtered sun or deep shade. Mature size 10 to 16 inches height, forms a dense grass-like groundcover. Spreads quickly by underground rhizomes to form colonies, and can be somewhat invasive.
Evergreen, clump-forming perennial has slender, glossy, dark green leaves. Dense spikes have clusters of large, pale lavender to white flowers in late summer to fall.Perhaps the best, economical choice for preventing erosion on even the steepest hillsides, in wet or dry conditions, either in full sun or deep shade. Spreads quickly and clumps can be easily divided.
