Description
This variety was developed by HRIO, Canada, and is a red dessert grape of excellent quality – among the best of the red seedless types. The vine is moderately vigorous and among the hardiest of seedless grapes. An early ripening red seedless grape. Very fruity, sweet taste. Medium to large size fruit. Does not crack in wet conditions and is very disease resistant. This grape is like an eastern type of Flame seedless grape, but with better winter hardiness and disease resistance. Some consider it the easiest of the red seedless to grow for home gardeners and you pick operations. It is hardy to -20°F (USDA Zone 5).
Self-fertile (can produce fruit on it’s own).
