Also known as the Minnewashta, the Zestar!® apple has excellent flavor that is nicely balanced between sweet and tart and with a slight overtone of brown sugar. These high quality fruits are crispy and juicy and tend to ripen early. They are great storing apples and can be kept in good condition for 2 or more months with proper refrigeration. Best used for fresh eating and are also good in baked goods, salads, and sauces.

Pollinator required – must plant near a compatible variety of apple for fruit production. Please see the pollination tab for more information on a good pollination partner for this variety.

Please Note: Zestar® is a patented variety that requires a special license to propagate. This is a traditionally bred apple variety and is non-GMO as are all our plant cultivars.
