Description

Anthuriums are beautiful houseplants known for their striking, heart-shaped flowers and glossy, dark green leaves.

Light: bright indirect light. Place in an area with bright, but not direct, sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light may reduce flowering.

Temperature: 18C to 27C. They are sensitive to cold drafts and temperatures below 13C, keep away from windows with draft.

Humidity: Prefer higher humidity levels. During winter use a humidifier or place a shallow tray filled with water and pebbles under the plant.

Watering: Water your plant when the top inch (2.5 cm) of the soil feels dry to the touch. Avoid over watering as it can lead to root rot. use ourmoisture meterto take the guesswork out.

Potting mix: Use a well-draining potting mix like ourFafard potting soilwhen repotting.

Pot size: Prefer to be slightly root-bound, don’t repot unless the roots are starting to come out of the drainage holes of the pot. Choose a pot that is no more than 5 cm larger than the current one.

Fertilization: Feed your anthurium with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser We recommend ourSultz 10-15-10every 2-4 weeks to help promote blooming.
