Description
This lovely native Aster forms a clump of smooth-leaved, upright, blue-green foliage that remains attractive through the season. Clusters of light blue flowers appear on 2-4′ tall stems in late summer into fall. An early season trim will keep it closer to 2-3′ tall. Otherwise, staking may be necessary. Smooth Aster is drought resistant and a valued host to many pollinators. Plant 18″ apart.
