Baptisia ‘Lunar Eclipse’ is a tough, long-lived perennial with a vase-shaped, shrub-like habit, growing 3-4 feet tall and wide with blue-green foliage. It is celebrated for its unique bicolor flowers, which emerge pale yellow-cream, age to lavender-lilac, and eventually turn deep purple-blue, creating a captivating two-toned, “eclipsed” effect in late spring.

  • Flowers: The 15-inch spikes produce lupine-like, pea-like blooms in shades of pale yellow, cream, and lavender-violet, creating a unique color-changing effect over 2-3 weeks in May/June.
