Make yourself smile by growing this amazing flowering vine! Although it’s compact, the larger-than-life color of those ruffled blooms make a big impact.

Pretty Boulevard® Vicki™ Clematis (Clematis ‘Evipo114’) blooms twice each season! The bold pink blooms are accented with an irresistible magenta center bar.

The first flowering flush starts in early summer and runs through the middle of the season. Prune the spent blooms and you’ll enjoy more flowers from late summer to early fall.

Why not take a few blooms a bit early and drape them into cut flower arrangements? They’ll add mystique to trailing, horizontal bouquets; and the slender stems can also be woven in with sturdier flowers as spectacular scaffolding.

Her first flush of blooms develops on the growth from last year. Vicki Clematis is a smarty-pants and also blooms on this year’s growth, too!

You won’t be the only one who loves the ruffled charm of these showy blooms. Friends will think you are a gardening genius, and local butterflies will be big fans of their nectar.

Part of the esteemed Boulevard Clematis line developed by Raymond Evison, Vicki is the perfect fit for patio containers. Grow them where the blooms get full sun, and the pot stays in shade.

You might be surprised how versatile this glamorous vine can be! She’s a good mixer, too…and can be added to a diverse planting for an engaging visual boost.

Hurry to add the allure of reblooming Boulevard Vicki Clematis to your space! She’s invited to all the backyards and balconies this season.

How to Use Boulevard® Vicki™ Clematis in the Landscape

Place her front and center in a container on your patio, porch or deck. Or, place a luxe trellis or tower for her to climb as a beautiful “Thriller” near the front of your perennial border.

Pair a Vicki with an Alaina Clematis for a bold study in contrasts. One flower has smooth edges and the other has a decided flounce!

You might even want to recruit her help to cover a bare, open patch of land. Simply place Vicki Clematis as a groundcover, and train the stems to reach wide.

Do the same thing to cover an unsightly chain link fence. Miand match your favorites, or stick with Vicki in a coordinated landscape that shines!

She’ll look stunning playing at the feet of your favorite Shrub Rose from Nature Hills. Enjoy the process of planning an impeccable landscape that suits your style.

The sepals vibrant, bicolor colorway would look incredible paired with hot hues from fuchsia to magenta and even red! But they’ll also suit the silvery tones of Lavender and cool Hydrangea just as well.

Kids are absolutely fascinated by the geometric flowers of Clematis, too! Could you create a colorful Fairy Garden and let them carefully pat the puffy stamens and run their fingertips along the cute ruffled edges?

ProPlantTips for Care

Clematis love their leaves in the sun and roots in the shade. It’s worth taking the time to find the right spot.

However, you can also apply a layer of mulch over their roots. Always pull it back away from touching the stems.

They need well-drained soil that drains quickly after a rain. Elevate the planting in a mound, or keep them in a container if you need to improve the drainage.

Please keep Clematis evenly watered. This is very important if you are growing them in a container.

Be patient with Clematis as they first spend their energy growing down to establish their delicate root system into the soil. After that, they’ll flourish with abandon.

Nature Hills Root Booster helps the root system gain nutrients from the soil. This symbiotic support system never “wears out”!

No need to prune the first few seasons. After the roots are established, shorten up any dead growth in early spring as it comes out of dormancy back down to a pair of live buds.

After the spring flush of flowers is finished, snip them back one more time. You’ll love seeing the showy second set of blooms!
