Coreopsis ‘Creme Brulee’ PP16096 Common name: Coreopsis-Threadleaf. Zones 5 to 9. Full sun. Plants reach 16 to 20 inches tall and 35 inches wide. Growth rate: Moderate to vigorous, Easy to grow.
Soft yellow blooms cover the compact mounds of bright green, threadleaf foliage from early to late summer. Similar to ‘Moonbeam’ but is more prolific, producing larger flowers and displaying improved mildew resistance. Cutting back by one-third to one-half (not just deadheading) after its first flush of flowers will extend the bloom period into fall.
‘Creme Brulee’ grows in dry to medium moisture, most soil conditions with good drainage, including sandy or rocky. It is tolerant of humidity, heat and drought. Plants may be cut back hard in summer if foliage sprawls or becomes unkempt.
