       A newly introduced cross of Asian Plum and Apricot, Flavor King Pluot combines the best qualities of both species into one crop. Fruits are oval-shaped and red-purple in color with a smooth skin. The flesh is an amber/red with a juicy and delicious plum-like flavor that is sweet and tangy. Excellent for fresh eating and for desserts and preserves. The attractive small trees sport copious flowers early in the spring and are best planted in areas that do not tend to get late spring frosts. 

Pollination Required – plant near a different variety of pluot or near an Asian plum variety such as Santa Rosa or even near an apricot for cross pollination and fruit production.
