Papaver Summer Breeze Series-Orange Common name: Oriental Poppy. Zones 3 to 8. Full sun. Plants reach 12 to 15 inches tall and 8 inches wide;Herbaceous perennial. Growth rate: Moderate. Dwarf orange poppies bloom like crazy in early summer, spending all of their energy producing new flowers rather than setting seed. Papaver Summer Breeze Series-Orange are sterile, so their bloom time is longer. With its tidy, compact habit, plant in rock gardens, troughs, or near the front of the border.

After the bloom cycle is completed, foliage yellows and dies as perennial goes dormant. New leaves appear in fall and overwinter until spring when the foliage puts on growth until flowers bloom again.
