Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Little Bunny’ Common Name: Grass-Ornamental, Miniature Fountain Grass Zone 5 to 9, Full sun Plants reach 6 to 12 inches tall and 12 to 15 inches wide. A truly miniature fountain grass, ‘Little Bunny’ stands only 18 inches tall when in bloom. Cute cream-colored, tufted seed heads look like a bunch of little bunnies’ tails dancing above the dense clump of dark green foliage. The blooms begin to appear in midsummer.
This species may be propagated by seed or division. It originated as a seedling of P. ‘Hameln’.
