Phlox subulata Blue Common Name: Creeping Phlox or Moss Phlox.Zones 3 to 9. Full sun to partial shade.
Colorful and compact, creeping Phlox can reach 6 inches in height and spread out 2 feet, creating a thick mat of evergreen to semi-evergreen needle-like foliage. Some foliage remains green throughout winter in most zones. Early spring flowers attract butterflies.
Appearance: Forms a low-growing mat of needle-like, dark green foliage, typically reaching 4-6 inches tall and spreading up to 2 feet wide. In spring, the plant is covered in a profusion of blue flowers in various shades, creating a beautiful carpet of color.
Growing Conditions:
