Schizachyrium scoparium ‘Standing Ovation’ has wider leaves than other varieties. Throughout the summer the leaves become a brighter steel color with purple hues that make it look almost iridescent. Purple panicles appear in the fall with fluffy tan seeds and the foliage becomes a mix of purple, blue, red, pink, burgundy, and orange pigments. This plant produces lots of interest year-round!
