Description
An old favorite, Whitney Crabapple is prized for its beautiful and profuse pink and white flowers, and golf-ball sized fruits. The crabapples are firm, crisp, tangy-sweet, pinkish-red and produced in copious amounts! They are perfect for making jams and jellies, or baked with cinnamon and sugar, or made into cider or wine. This variety of crabapple tree is naturally heat tolerant and scab resistant. Fruits ripen in late August or early September. It is a mid-season bloomer and will pollinate all mid to very late season blooming apple trees.
Self-fertile – can produce fruit alone. Also a great pollinator for many apple trees.
